Cayda

Client: Cayda
Year: 2019

Cayda brings Vietnamese cuisine to New York City, wrapping authentic flavors in the serene warmth of temples, rice fields, and aged bamboo traditions.

Challenge

Draw from weathered temples, rustic fields, and graceful groves: earthy palette aged like terracotta paths meets images of daily life, labor, and legacy for authentic soul without nostalgia overload.

Idea

Twist Italian flag colors into modern fire for passion; monogram blooms from cotton flower for artisanal soul, with refined typography voicing relentless innovation.

Solution

Color system layers terracotta reds, warm stone beiges, and moss greens—subtly distressed for time’s touch, evoking Vietnamese architecture and landscapes. Imagery captures real scenes of village rhythm, market bustle, and field work, integrated into menus, signage, and social with clean hierarchy. Full identity uses refined sans-serif for modern anchor amid organic motifs, scaling seamlessly from takeout bags to wall murals.

Impact

Cayda feels like Vietnam in every glance—diners sense heritage warmth instantly, turning meals into cultural escapes that linger beyond the plate.
