A Fabric Affair FW 25-26
Client: A Fabric Affair
Year: 2024
A Fabric Affair FW25-26 brings high-end fabrics and yarns to the heart of New York City, using the everyday objects of New Yorkers to reframe what fashion can be.
Challenge
The event needed to present luxury textiles in a way that felt close to people’s real lives, not confined to runways or showrooms. The goal was to bridge high fashion and daily experience, so the fair could speak to a broader, more diverse audience without losing its premium positioning.
Idea
The concept reimagines fashion through objects that define New York’s everyday life: paper coffee cups, newspapers, magazines, neon signs, and street details. These items become carriers of fabric and pattern, transformed with AI into surreal, fashion-forward artifacts. The payoff “Sourcing the city. Can you imagine?” crystallizes the theme: creativity is sourced directly from the urban fabric, where the city itself becomes both moodboard and material.
Solution
AI tools were used to generate visuals where familiar NYC objects are wrapped in, made of, or fused with high-end textiles—cups draped in jacquards, newspapers printed on woven surfaces, neon signs stitched out of threads. These scenes are set against iconic backdrops like Times Square and Central Park, merging the monumental and the mundane. The visual language balances bold, saturated compositions with clear hierarchy, so the message remains readable across formats. The system extends to key images, invitations, social media, newsletters and on-site materials, ensuring that whether someone encounters the event online or physically, they step into the same narrative: high fashion rooted in everyday life.
Impact
By treating city objects as fashion protagonists, the event makes the world of premium fabrics feel familiar, playful and inclusive. Attendees are invited to imagine textiles not as distant luxuries, but as part of the lived texture of New York, reinforcing A Fabric Affair as a place where global high-end sourcing meets the real streets of the city.
