A Fabric Affair FW 26-27

Client: A Fabric Affair
Year: 2026

A Fabric Affair FW26-27 spotlights Italian textile craftsmanship in New York City, inviting buyers to trace every garment back to the hands and processes that make it real.

Challenge

Textile fairs drown in flat product shots—needed to humanize the supply chain, turning abstract fabrics into vivid stories of making that pull global buyers into Italian precision.

Idea

Collage as “fabric X-ray”: layer raw textures with monochrome hands at work, transforming technical steps (measuring, pinning, cutting, sewing) into bold, architectural scenes that celebrate makers over merchandise.

Solution

Sharp cut-outs turn textiles into volumes and landscapes, saturated patterns crash against black-and-white photos of hands and faces for tactile realism. Modular system scales each action (one collage per process) into campaign images, social assets, newsletters, exhibitor kits, and on-site graphics. Subtle NYC cues—bridge silhouettes in jacket folds, skyline icons on props, star patterns, blend without stealing focus from fabric details.

Impact

Visitors don’t just see fabrics, they feel the craft—driving deeper conversations between artisans and markets, with visuals working as a consistent thread from invite to fair floor.
